Supporting Families, Supporting Clients
At the heart of recovery lies the family. Whether working with residential, outpatient, or virtual organizations, I specialize in creating comprehensive family programming designed to empower and support those closest to the client. While many programs incorporate a family therapy component, that can be difficult to scale and challenging to make real headway in the short period of time the individual with Substance Use Disorder is engaged in treatment. Providing truly family-centered education can equip your clients’ loved ones to participate in your clinical offerings more meaningfully and help ensure the family system of your client is equipped to take better care of themselves and offer more effective support to their loved one in recovery.
When building bespoke programming, I bring my experience in Learning and Development, training, coaching, content creation, and leadership to the table. Understanding what is practical, scalable, and achievable within an organization at a given time is critical to the success of the project. Content deliverables are polished, impeccably branded, and user friendly for both families and staff.
As a consultant, my approach is built on a deep understanding that family involvement is vital to the healing process. Rather than focusing solely on the individual client, I center the family's needs, recognizing that by equipping families with education, resources, and emotional support, we not only strengthen the family unit but also provide a foundation for the client’s growth and success.
By addressing the unique dynamics of each family and guiding them through their own learning and development, we create an environment where everyone—clients, patients, and their families—can thrive. I believe that when families are supported, they become powerful allies in the journey toward long-term wellness.

“It was a true pleasure to work with Laura Perry on the development of our Family Education Programming at Ria Health. Laura delivered materials that were both thorough and highly accessible, striking the perfect balance between clinical depth and readability for the average family member of someone struggling with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD).
The program she created addresses all of the key issues that a well-developed family education program should cover, ensuring that both clients and their families have the tools, understanding, and guidance needed to move forward in a supportive and informed way. The content is clear, compassionate, and actionable, making it easy for families to engage with during what is often a difficult and emotional process.
Laura invested time to deeply understand our brand, culture, workflows, and treatment approach, ensuring that her work dovetailed seamlessly with the way we deliver care.
Equally important, Laura was a pleasure to collaborate with—professional, thoughtful, and responsive. She put significant effort into ensuring that the end product not only met but exceeded our expectations.
